Gail Lea Turner

Gail Lea Turner, 82, of Chattanooga passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Gail was a member of Brainerd Hills Presbyterian Church and worked for Pioneer Bank for 11 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Later she worked at Wal-mart as a cashier. She loved her Alabama Crimson Tide and was an avid animal lover. Gail was a loving and devoted wife to Bill for 62 years.

Her 1st most valued title was that of “Mama” to her one and only child Michelle. She dedicated her life to being a Wife, Mom and Nan-Nan. Gail’s 2nd most valued title was that of Nan-Nan to her precious grandchildren, Tristan, Trinity and Trintan. She was at every special event and occasion and loved them unconditionally.

Gail loved everyone and was a friend to all. She was full of laughter and always had a smile, she could light up the darkest of rooms. There has been a huge hole left in our world, but we have peace in knowing Gail is now at Peace.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vester Houston and Sarah Sue Whatley Lea. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Foster Turner; daughter, Michelle (Jason) Lovingood of Soddy Daisy; and three grandchildren, Tristan Lea Hall, Trinity Danelle Hall and Trintan Daniel Hall.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday March 22, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tim Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Thursday and 10 AM – 12 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Tristan Hall, Jason Lovingood, Eric McClendon, Jason McClendon and Trintan Hall will serve as pallbearers.
