Ruth Kolwyck

Ruth Teague Kolwyck, 86, of Chickamauga, GA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Born in Tate, Georgia, Mrs. Kolwyck was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area.

She was retired from Shaw Industry after more than 20 years of service and was a member of Temple Baptist Church for the past 68 years.

Mrs. Kolwyck was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Kolwyck;  parents, John and Lila Belle Teague; brother, Rev. John C. Teague; and sister, Martha Teague.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Eason, Ringgold, GA;  Eugenia Patty, Lyerly, GA; and Susan (Rodney) Burgess, Rossville, GA;  son, Lamar (Peggy) Kolwyck, Ringgold, GA;  2 brothers, Gene Teague, Marietta, GA and Allen (Shirley) Teague, Calhoun, GA;

 6 grandchildren, Buck Parker, Michelle Clayton, Jennifer Kinsey, Aspen Salanco, Cindy Willingham, and Patrick Kolwyck;  7 great-grandchildren, Jameson, Reagan, Elizabeth, Eli, Savannah, Jake, and Emma; several nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 1 at 2:30 pm at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Rev. Phil Minter officiating. Pallbearers will be Patrick Kolwyck, Buck Parker, Jacob Clayton, Joseph Willingham, Scott Hughes, and Brent Hicks.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International or Alzheimer’s Association.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 1, 2024 from 11 am until 2 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
